How this roofing service works

Hornsby Roofers exists to connect people in Hornsby and the Upper North Shore with roofing work that is done properly. This page explains exactly how that works, because the roofing trade has earned a certain amount of scepticism and vague "about us" copy does nothing to fix it.

Who does the work

Work is carried out by established, licensed and insured roofing contractors working to NSW Fair Trading requirements. Completed work carries a written workmanship warranty.

We are a referral service, which is set out in full on the disclaimer page. What that means for you in practice: you make one call, you get a competent roofer on your roof, and you get a written quote. What it does not mean is that you are dealing with a call centre that has never heard of Galston Road.

What we will not claim

Plenty of roofing websites are decorated with things that cannot be verified. You will not find any of the following here, because none of it would be true:

• Star ratings or review counts
• A founding year or a number of years in business
• Awards, accreditations or certifications we cannot evidence
• Named staff, crew sizes or fleet descriptions
• Dollar figures invented for a page rather than quoted for a roof

When there are real reviews from real customers, they will appear. Until then, the things worth judging us on are the inspection, the quote and the work.

How a job runs

1. You get in touch on (02) 9000 1127 or through the quote form, with the suburb, the roof type and what you have noticed.
2. A free inspection. Someone gets on the roof, photographs the faults, and checks the things that usually accompany them.
3. A written quote. Itemised, with the reasoning. Free, and with no obligation to proceed.
4. The work, scheduled around weather rather than against it.
5. Clean-up and warranty. Site cleared, gutters cleared, written workmanship warranty issued.

No pressure, no artificial deadlines, and no repeated calls chasing a decision. If you decide not to go ahead, that is the end of it.

Why local knowledge matters here

Hornsby Shire is roughly two-thirds bushland by Council's own reporting, and the suburbs sit inside it rather than beside it. That produces a specific set of roofing problems that someone working mainly in open western suburbs would not prioritise:
